Some Things You Can Do To Increase Your Happiness

Here are things you can do to increase your Happiness:

  1. Spend money on experiences (e.g. romantic weekend getaway) rather than possessions.  Experiences will provide you with social interactions and a lifetime of memories. Possessions are not as relevant as frequently believed.
  2. Compare yourself to the correct peer group.  What used to be the Joneses has been replaced with fake social media – resulting in people feeling pressures and frustrations in not being able to live up to unrealistic expectations.  Did you know that a whole industry emerged to cater to people requesting a Private Jet for a 1 hour photo shoot only? 
  3. Try to increase your salary to at least $80,000 per year. Happiness levels do not increase substantially for incomes higher than $80,000 per year.
